1. Curriculum

The K12 curriculum is commonly used in the Philippines, although Ateneo de Naga Junior High School uses their own curriculum and system. The study period in the Philippines is very similar to that in Indonesia, where students spend 12 years learning from elementary school to senior high school. The main difference is that they spend four years in junior high and just two years in senior high, whereas in Indonesia both junior and senior high schools last three years.

2. Teaching Plan Related to Your major

We have one month to run the application and write a lesson plan for our demo teaching. The AdNU SEA-Teacher team and our mentor, Sir Fromjo, agreed on a teaching plan in which we would create and utilise Kurikulum Merdeka lesson plans in an Indonesian manner. This is to compare and examine the differences between the academic systems of Indonesia and the Philippines. We were also required to complete 20 hours of teaching or aiding teachers at school, which allowed us to watch how the academic system works, such as how the teacher conducts the class, scores pupils, and even how they do their assessments.
